lea salonga

Lea Salonga makes for good company today as i buckle down to doing office admin, the whole day. and while it was mainly background music, this song struck me as it came on, it made me look up from the papers and watch the video. made me cry. (maybe its the admin work, haha). anyway, she sang this for her own wedding, see video clip.

In a while, in a word, Every moment now returns.

For a while, seen or heard, How each memory softly burns.

Facing you who brings me new tomorrows,

I thank God for yesterdays,

How they led me to this very hour, How they led me to this place.

Every touch, every smile, You have given me in care.

Keep in heart, always I’ll now be treasuring everywhere.

And if life should come to just one question,

Do I hold this moment true?

No trace of sadness,

Always with gladness

‘I do’

buttons and birds

lately the idea of a DIY wedding has been festering. and i have to say it has gotten its claws in pretty deep. just think: instead of wearing a traditional corsage why not consider a little handmade trinket or thingamabob? heaven knows we’ve got more than alot of talent (mum can do any type of craft, cherie has her own craft station at home) and enthusiasm (me) in the family.

here’s a nice DIY wedding featured on welovepictures: Wimpie and Carla’s hillside wedding with buttons and birds as the theme. and i love that the groom wore jeans. see the little drawn birdies. and see the carelessly shrewn buttons. rocks.

(and by the way, her dress is lovely– i love the ruffles at the hem. its so nice to finally see ruffles away from the bosom. or worse, ruffles on the bum.)

and i love that the groom wore jeans.

flower rings, again

my love affair with flower rings continues.

this couple, sophie + adam, had a wonderful intimate wedding (Ruffled call it an elopement, and doesnt that make it sound even more sweet?!) with a grand total of two guests and a justice of peace. photography by the talented people at wrinkle in time photography; see the whole photoset at the link.

their shared kiss looked so perfect, i stared at it for ages. i love how the photographers managed to catch the tears in her eyes in the perfect angle. i love the simplicity of her hair and make-up, and of all, i love the lovely purple flower ring & bouquet.

enough talk, lets look at some piccas.
